Dr Diane Tay is a registered Specialist Paediatric Dentist, originally from Singapore and is fluent in both English and Mandarin.

Diane graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Science (Honours) from the University of Melbourne, and after several years of working in both the private and public sectors in Sydney, she went on to pursue her passion in paediatric dentistry and successfully attained a Doctorate of Clinical Dentistry (Paediatric Dentistry) from The University of Sydney. Her research thesis was based on frenotomy and its effectiveness on infants with tongue-ties and feeding difficulties.

In addition to her services at Sydney Specialist Dental Group, Diane works at the Westmead Children’s Hospital in Sydney where she thrives on the management of a range of cases where her main clinical interests lie; special needs and medically compromised children, paediatric oral medicine, pathology and dental trauma.

Diane is also actively committed to continuing her education and teaching by maintaining her role as Clinical Associate Lecturer with The University of Sydney and she lectures to both her medical and dental colleagues.

Dr William Tang.

Dr. William Tang completed his undergraduate training in Dentisry in 2000 at the University of Sydney. He worked for several years in the Hunter-New England (HNE) region before taking a position to commence specialist paediatric training at Westmead Hospital and Children’s hospital, Westmead (CHW) which he completed in 2018. While Wills skills in paediatric dentistry are multi-faceted, he has a special interest in Endodontic treatment in the child patient and trauma. Will continues to work in specialist roles across private practice in Newcastle and Health services in HNE, Westmead Hospital and CHW.

Apart from all things teeth, Will spends his spare time scuba diving travelling and refining his taste in food and wine.

Dr Vanessa Jimenez.

BDS, DClinDent (Ortho), MOrthRCS (Ed), MRACDS (Ortho)

Dr Vanessa Jimenez was born and raised in Venezuela where she qualified as a dentist at Universidad Santa Maria. Vanessa has been involved in orthodontics since very early in her career. After graduating with a Bachelor of Dental Science, Dr Jimenez completed a Certificate in Orthodontics and worked privately for three years in an orthodontic practice as well as general dentistry.

Always striving to improve her education Dr Jimenez moved to Australia to undertake her specialist degree in Orthodontics at The University of Sydney. Her research thesis was on the topic of root resorption associated with orthodontic tooth movement.

Vanessa also completed examinations to become a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh in the Discipline of Orthodontics. She has also been granted membership from the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons in the Special Stream of Orthodontics.

Dr Jimenez maintains an active interest in education; she attends national and international conferences always striving to stay on top of the latest developments. She is particularly interested in aesthetic orthodontic treatment using aligner therapy (Invisalign) and invisible braces (Lingual Orthodontics); as well as the use of temporary anchorage devices to facilitate otherwise difficult treatment goals in patients with missing teeth and dento-facial discrepancies.

Vanessa currently enjoys practising all aspects of orthodontics, treating both children and adults with an emphasis on achieving facial and dental harmony. Treatment includes interceptive and full orthodontic therapy in children and adolescents; stressing the importance of timely intervention. Dr Jimenez also enjoys cosmetic orthodontics and complex interdisciplinary cases.  Her relationship with patients is of the utmost value, along with remaining passionate, motivated and devoted to providing optimal patient care.

Rebecca Chen.


Rebecca graduated with a Bachelor of Oral Health from the University of Sydney, and has worked in Orange, Sydney; as well as volunteering in smaller rural communities across NSW and overseas.

Rebecca is passionate about prevention focused, patient-centred care.

Rebecca understands that each child is unique and will work with Dr. Diane Tay to tailor treatments that will favour prevention and oral heath in a relaxed and supportive dental environment.
